WEBINARS / DENTAL IMPLANT COMPLICATIONS WHEN WE KNOW BETTER WE DO BETTER
Successful implant dentistry requires more than osseointegration -it demands the ability to prevent, identify, and manage complications. This concise, one-hour course offers clinicians a practical, evidence-based approach to common implant complications, with a strong emphasis on early detection, systematic diagnosis, and effective management.
Attendees will explore the most frequent issues encountered in implant dentistry, including surgical (early and late), prosthetic (mechanical and esthetic), and biologic complications such as peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis, with case examples.
Next, the course reviews key diagnostic strategies, from clinical signs and symptoms to radiographic interpretation using standard imaging and CBCT. Management techniques cover both immediate and delayed approaches, including surgical options like guided bone regeneration, and implant removal, as well as prosthetic troubleshooting. Finally, the course emphasizes prevention through risk assessment, proper treatment planning, prosthetic design, and patient education to reduce the likelihood of future issues.
